Retail and wholesale traders are allowed to take registration under MSME Act
Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India, vide its office memorandum No. 5/2(2)/2021-E/P & G/Policy (E-19025) made certain changes in O.M. No. UAM/MC/01/2017-SME dated 27.06.2017.
Though this memorandum following categories are included/allowed to take MSME/ Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum now Udyam registration.
| 1. Wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicle and motorcycles 2. Wholesale trade except of motor vehicles and motorcycles 3. Retail Trade Except of Motor Vehicles and motor cycles |
Previously only service provider and manufacturer are allowed to take Udyam registration. After above order now Retail trader and wholesaler can also take Udyam registration.
